 Eileen de Coune, Treasurer

Picture
Eileen de Coune is a wife, a mother of three children in Oklahoma City public schools, a computer programmer, teacher, coach, and treasurer of Eat Wise OKC. She is also passionate about gardening, cooking, eating, reading, sewing, soccer, skiing, traveling and playing the piano. She became involved in improving school nutrition when Laura Massenat, founder and former President of Eat Wise OKC and current School Board member asked her to become part of a dialog between parents discussing the food that was being served at Wilson Elementary. That was in 2008. Since then, this core group of equally busy and passionate mothers, after much determination and perseverance that started bringing real change to Wilson Elementary School’s lunch program, decided it was time to represent all of the schools in the district, thus forming Eat Wise OKC.
